Thoughts on Life

Lately, I haven't been in the best of moods. Work has been stressful and so has everyday life. The pressure of trying to have it all together as an adult and still learning how to become one can be overwhelming. I've found myself daydreaming about the times in my younger years when life was much more simple. My biggest dilemma was how I was going to convince my mom to allow me to go to the latest teen party or which classes to sign up for. If I could do it all again, I would do it with better choices but you live and you learn. I'm just bless to be on a great path to financial freedom and making my dreams come true. I'm not jobless, I have good health, a roof over my head, and I'm able to purchase many materialistic things I splurge my money on. So with a that said. . .

I shall no longer complain.

My "I'm happy to work on my day off" face

Tops: Pacsun | Bottoms: Aeropostale | Sneaks: France Roshe Runs (Worldcup pack)

I typically don't work Monday's but last week a coworker wanted to switch shifts this week. I forgot I had a few errands I had to run today, so I had to awake normally than usual to get everything done. I wasn't too thrilled about the missed hours of sleep, but thankfully I now have Friday off to sleep in. Well, let me jump out of these clothes and into my work ones. Until next time. . . :*

Skinnie Minnie x Mickey

Top: Pacsun | Bottoms: Aeropostale | Sneaks: Jordan "Carmine" 6s | Extra: HUF worldwide 5-panel

Today was the first official day of Autumn and she definitely didn't disappointed. I could just smell the harvest theme flavors of pumpkin spice in the air. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but it definitely felt like a cool Autumn day and I'm loving it. I can start bringing out the sweatshirts, sweaters, beanies, and hoodies. My favorite season of the year because its when the best fashions emerge. You can layer comfortably and won't have to hide your outfit under winter coats. Can't forget the various Fashion Weeks, Shows, and Collections. Autumn is definitely the season for fashion and I'm excited to see what this year is going to bring. I have to say, today's outfit was pretty dope and I love how I put it all together. I just couldn't wait to break into that Disney sweatshirt I purchased a couple weeks ago and it was hella comfy.

I Need Sneaker Rehab!

Apparently, I don't remember telling myself that I wasn't buying any more sneakers until November. Today, I visited local sneaker boutique called RoundTwo and picked up these Jordan "Fear" 3s which were a quick-strike last year August. I had my eyes on these for some time on Ebay, but I would always find them overpriced. They are in excellent condition and seem to have been worn for only a few times. They still have the new shoe smell for a steal price of $100.

Can't wait to wear them this Fall/Winter season.

Crooks x HellzBellz

This past weekend I went to the outlets with my best friend after work on Saturday. These three items were the results of this trip. The Crooks and Hellz Bellz collab tops were from Zumiez. These were an immediate purchase being that Crooks & Castles is my favorite brand and Hellz Bellz is equally as dope. The Disney top was purchased in Pacsun. Definitely an impulse buy, but its so dope to me that I had to buy. I think this is all the clothing shopping I'll be doing for a while unfortunately.

Monday, some things didn't work out the way that I thought and now I have to save a lot of money. So all those shopping trips I had planned has been postponed. :/

LA Bel Air: Rich & Famous

Last weekend, I went to the mall with my best friend and I picked up these two pieces. The ripped jeans are from Aeropostale, which I never thought I would ever go in there to actually do some shopping. Apparently, they changed their style to be more simplistic instead of "teen-ish" and I'm actually kind of impressed. I found out recently that their jeans fit me the best and I will be taking advantage of that.

The tee is from Cotton On and it was definitely an impulse buy. It was the last tee left and I just knew I had to buy it or I would have thought about it with regret. Its a bit big fitting, but thankfully I know a bit about altering. So this will be a fun DIY project in my near future. Haha!

Sport Blue's

Decided to cop these new released Jordan 6's. I finally picked them up from the mail and I'm definitely excited to wear them this Autumn/Winter season. Next sneaker cop on the list won't be dropping until late November, so I have a few extra coins to spend on clothing. Looking forward to building a brand new cold weather wardrobe.

Dream Chasing

I always knew I was destined to become my own boss. My "American Dream" is to one day be the owner of an intentionally known and successful brand, providing/nurturing my family under my husband, a beautiful house, and a nice car. I'm way too creative, independent thinking, and skillful to work toward achieving someone else dreams when I have my very own. I'm hoping, in at least three years time, I'll be able to quit my job and successfully run my own business. Its time I start turning my dreams into a reality. . .

Sole Cleaning

I not only wear my kicks but I take good care of them because I remember a time my mom refused to buy my Jordan's and Nikes that were "too boyish". I remember a time when I only got three pairs of sneakers a year — back to school, Christmas, and my birthday. I remember a time when I wanted a pair so bad and had to watch others rock them.

I collect out of passion not because it's what's popular, fashion trends, or for attention. I'll still be doing this with or without social media! I'm a Female Sneakerhead, Sneaker Enthusiast, Sneaker Collector, or whatever label you want to attach to me that involves the love of sneakers. I've come to the conclusion that I'll never stop wearing, buying, and collecting sneakers and you know what? I'm perfectly fine with that.

Loving you. . .

The love I have for you put the love I felt for the few before you to shame. Sometimes I sit and question did I really love them at all? That's how strong, beautiful, and deep the love I have for you runs. I sit back and feel grateful to have fell in love with you. We had our share of downs, lows, and dark points. But without them, our love wouldn't be as strong as it is now.

To think, this love was almost lost — almost.

With egos and pride finally laid aside, and curiosity of what's out there beyond us has been cured, I feel like we finally got it together. Loving each other was nothing short of easy. It took a lot of learning, bending, and patience but our gratitude for one another made it so worth it.The only thing left is our love and our future to continue building upon.

I sit and think sometimes — it feels good to be back together.
